Soulfrost's New Music Player

I have been working quite hard on on this site. Most of the work is on the back end making things more organized, cleaned up and easier to update. Somethings were not lining up correctly are now and I have updated the music player. Big difference now is that it estimates the length of the tracks correctly now before it was cutting them off. Visually I took a step back and took what was good from the last design and added something more to make it even better. Quite happy with it almost.

If you know flash really well and know what the solution is to this problem I’m about to explain please contact me or leave a comment. When you browser zoom in the player splits and for the life of me I can’t seem to see how to stop it from doing that. It’s not 9-Slice option, I’m sure it’s something simple that I’m overlooking.

Glimpse into Soulfrost's Studio

I have been meaning to do this update for a little while now but I have been too busy.

I have quite a lot of projects on the go (more than usual). I’ll be updating this site soon with various tweaks and also I have another section of the site coming soon. I will go into more detail when the time is right.

I showed this girl my website she asked “oh is this a online magazine thing?”, first thought that entered into my mind was what the hell. No I am not trying to do a online magazine but I can see how she got that impression. So I thought about this and realizing that I can’t attempt to compete with certain blogs and be creatively productive at the same time. I need to step back and rethink how I want to approach the blog. Most likely more posts like this other than oh this is cool I will post this on my blog unless I totally dig something.

More on the music front I finally feel like I have found the right set up for me to play live. For a couple years I have been going through a lot of gear. It’s kind of funny looking back how much money I’ve wasted doing it but now I know right? And started to actively look for gigs again!

Now I don’t have to worry about gear much these days I can start focusing working on new tunes. For some reason every time I felt I wanted to make some music I ended up researching hardware and trying to figure out what would work. That’s done with so the plan is to get a album done this year and start touring.

Now I need you to go down to Brooklyn and get me a sugar cookie.

Beautiful photographs from National Geographic Channel from the top photographs of May. These guys always get the craziest photographs I’m actually a little speechless on how good these are. What I do know is that I need epic photos like this with me in them and then use it as promo photos.

HTDA

HTDA’s first EP is released today for free. So far it’s interesting listening not sure if it’ll grow on me. Has a huge similar sound of Nine Inch Nails. And if you didn’t know the same guy from NIN is in HTDA, could explain the similarities.

Grab the free HTDA’s 6-Track EP here.

These are pretty cool, almost sexy but unfortunately it reminds me of the DQ ads on TV but this is what DQ would be like if they didn’t have to worry about kids. I don’t know the artist who took these or anything so if you know leave a comment.

I was a fan of the show and watched all the seasons except for the first season oddly. I won’t get into the theories of what the show means or whatever, I think there are enough people on the internet doing that already.

I found this post on Lost artwork and it’s crazy how cool people come up with these clever pieces of art that are abstract in someways but if you know the show you know exactly what they are trying to get at. I’m sure if you didn’t watch the show you’d look at these and think nothing of it like it was just another advertisement.

Neil Richards did those four I am showing but in total he did ten, one for each station. Which you can check it out here.
